Christmas day / Le jour de Noël
This is what I did on christmas day. When I woke up I was amazed to see all these presents waiting for me at the end of my bed (thank you grandma Santa Claus!).
As you can see there were some books, play-doh, lego, a music box and some toy cars, which was the first thing I wanted to open. I had some trouble getting Papa to give them to me...
Then Mammy and Pappy Maurice came down and we all had breakfast together. Mummy and I opened the parcel from New Zealand from my great-grandparents and great uncle Tim. Thank you all of you! We love our presents. Mine was a wooden jigsaw puzzle of different vehicles which make their noise when you put them in. It's fantastic. On adore nos cadeaux.
I played with my toys all day. At night we had a big dinner with Mammy, Pappy Maurice, Mummy, Papa, Edwige, Thomas, Audrey and Cedric. Grandma organised a plate of food to contribute to the celebrations even though she wasn't there. Here it is.
We started eating at around 10.30pm and I was allowed out of bed to join in the celebrations. Here I am at the table.
After eating we all opened our presents however unfortunately the camera's memory card was full so we don't have any photos. We had a great time and it was very late by the time we went to bed (except for me who had gone back to bed a bit earlier).

Walk with Mammy and a lesson in French / Promenade avec Mammy
Here are Mammy and I going for a walk. For those who don't speak French, 'caca' (which is my first word) means just what you think it does: crap, poo, yuck. It's a popular word here and I say it a lot (although I only say it once in this video). When Mammy says 'frotte les mains' (pronounced 'frotta lay meng') that means 'rub your hands' and you'll notice that I do this a lot too. 'Jette le caillou' (jetta le ky-yoo) means 'throw the pebble'.

Christmas decorations / Les décorations de noel
I haven't mentioned it before but we have some very special christmas decorations here at Mammy and Pappy Maurice's, where we're staying at the moment. Pappy Maurice has worked very hard. He made this beautiful display with all his old toys from when he was a little boy and decorated the christmas tree. It looks incredible when the lights are on but Mummy couldn't get a good photo of it like that. Pappy Maurice a beaucoup travaillé.
He put lights up around the house which seems to have attracted Santa Claus.
And he put this very large sticker of Santa Claus on our window in our living room.
And Mammy gave us a christmas tree and a bag of decorations to decorate it with. Here I am helping Mummy put it up.

Here's a video of me playing hide and seek. (See last blog post). Don't forget to turn the sound up.

Hide and seek / Cache-cache
One of my favourites games is hide and seek. For the moment I only have one hiding place and that's behind the door. First of all I go to the other side of the the door...
then I shut it... puis je le ferme...
and then I open it a little bit to see if you know I'm there. et puis je l'ouvre un petit peu pour voir si tu sais que je suis là.

I'm not a baby anymore / Je ne suis plus un bébé
In this photo you can really see that I'm more of a little boy than a baby now. It's true I'm growing very fast, which is not surprising since I do eat a lot. For example, yesterday for lunch I ate two bowls of polenta, tuna and tomato, a weetbix with 120 ml of milk, a pot of yoghurt, half a banana and two mandarins before Mummy got bored of feeding me.

Audrey and me / Audrey et moi
Mummy has a friend in Paris, Clare, who she has a psychic connection with. Look below to see the proof. Not only are Audrey, Clare's daughter and I wearing the same outfits but there's only six weeks of difference between us. Mummy and Clare also both have French husbands (let's say Papa is Mummy's husband anyway - they are paxed) both live (well, lived, now that we've moved) right next to each other in Paris, and they both prepared to have us in the same hospital, which is how they met. We're going to miss them when we move back to Australia!

Papa plays with me / Papa joue avec moi
Papa plays with me all the time and yesterday he invented some new games with his jumper. First he pretended to be a bullfighter and I was the bull.
Then he put it over my head. Puis il l'a mis sur ma tete.
Then he made me wear it. Puis il m'a fait le porter.
Luckily Mummy was there to rescue me. Heureusement que Mummy était là.

Pépé's birthday
Last night we all went to Mémé and Pépé's (my great grandfather and great grandmother) house for Pépé's birthday. Before we sat down to eat Mémé and Pépé tried to attach me to a chair with a tie so I could sit at the table and eat with everybody. (Mummy and Papa had forgotten the thing that attaches me to a chair - see two blog posts ago). Anyway I thought it was pretty funny.
Pépé had a cake but there were no real birthday candles so we had to use anti-mosquito ones instead.
Actually Pépé didn't have one cake, he had three. Here's a before shot (actually we'd already eaten some of the first cake by the time Mummy took the photo)...
...and here's an after shot. (We each had three slices of cake except for Tata Audrey who only had two and me who didn't have any).

Alisa, Chris and moi
Here are some photos of Alisa, Chris and moi during their visit. The first is of Alisa giving me a bath. The others were taken just after we woke up which is why I don't have my pants on and why we look a little bit groggy.

Toulouse 2 (part 2)
On our second night in Toulouse, Alisa, Chris, Papa, Mummy and I went to a restaurant. Mummy found something fantastic for taking me to a restaurant (for those in France, le rayon de bébé, Monoprix). Here's me modelling it:
As you can see it's a thing that goes over the back of the chair and then ties me up so I can't escape. Here I am ordering dinner:
I was very good all night and finally went to sleep in my push chair.

Toulouse 2 (part 1)
This weekend Papa, Mummy and I went to Toulouse again for Papa's second microsoft exam. Papa doesn't want me to say what mark he got but he did very well again. To celebrate we all went and had lunch and here are Papa and Mummy pulling some funny faces at the restaurant.
Mummy's been very busy recently so this is part 1 of what we did in Toulouse and part 2 will come tomorrow.
After lunch we were all very excited because some of our very good friends from Australia (Alisa and Chris) were coming to stay with us for a week and were meeting us in Toulouse. Here's a photo of me with Alisa right after I met her.
We stayed with my great aunt and uncle, Papa's aunt and uncle...
... and the next day Papa's cousin and her husband came over to have lunch with us all. So as you can see I've been getting lots of cuddles.
